1:1 English Teacher/Tutor

Utopia are seeking to recruit an outstanding, passionate and resilient English Teacher/Tutor to deliver 1:1/small group sessions to our young people, 3 -5 days/week (Monday - Friday) term time only. Working hours 9:15am - 2:15pm.

Utopia Project always welcomes and encourages volunteers from the local and wider community. If you are interested in supporting vulnerable and hard to reach young people to achieve their potential and would like to gain experience in this area, please email a copy of your CV along with a covering letter to our admin team office@utopiaproject.org.uk.

 

Utopia Project is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All volunteers/applicants will be required to undertake a comprehensive recruitment and selection process that includes:

  • Completion of an Application Form or CV, which elicits information regarding an applicants past

  • Completion of a Self Disclosure Form, which requires any applicant to declare past offences

  • Verification of identity and eligibility to work in the UK

  • Verification of professional qualifications

  • Screening via an enhanced DBS check.

  • Two references, including one regarding the applicant’s most recent post working with children

  • An interview to acceptable protocol and recommendations which includes questions relevant to Safeguarding Children.
